Woman's club member; suffragist. Amy Schwartz Oppenheim was born on 10 July 1878 in Louisville, Kentucky to Eugenie (Lehman) Schwartz and Moses Schwartz. She was educated at public and private schools. She married Laurent Oppenheim on 6 June 1900 and they had two children, Laurent and Jean Paul.
